About Me
Yoga Educator • Mentor • Eternal StudentStep onto the mat and into a journey of transformation with me, Jody Reece. I’m a passionate and experienced yoga teacher, and I've been guiding students with heart and purpose since 2005.
My yoga path began in 2000 with a spark of curiosity that led me to a class at the Winter Haven Rec Center. That single class opened a lifelong passion—a deep and evolving connection to the healing and transformative power of yoga.Over the years, I’ve immersed myself in a wide variety of yoga styles and wisdom traditions, studying with respected teachers and at revered studios across the country. My journey has taken me to the Kripalu Center, the NYC studio of Dharma Mittra, and to the teachings of Amrit Desai at Rasa Lila Fest. I’ve explored Ayurvedic healing at The Raj in Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, and felt the vibrant energy of the Telluride Yoga Festival. With more than 11,000 teaching hours and over 1,500 training hours, I consider myself a lifelong learner. My formal training includes programs at FIFYS/Treehouse Yoga in Tampa, Yoga Matrix in Orlando, and Lotus Pond in Tampa. I also hold specialized certifications in Yin Yoga, Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra, Prenatal Yoga, and Yoga for the Lymphatic System.Since 2012, I’ve had the honor of mentoring aspiring teachers and helping build a thriving, inclusive yoga community through yoga teacher training programs. I’ve proudly hosted and studied with a wide range of renowned teachers, including Jennifer Reis, Anthony Profeta, Larissa Carlson, Lee Albert, Alexandria Crow, Leslie Kaminoff, Melissa Carroll, and many others. My teaching spans diverse populations and platforms—from studio classes to private sessions, online via Zoom and YouTube, and within unique community spaces. I've had the privilege of working with:Chair yoga for seniors Children at the Boys and Girls Club, Paddleboard yoga, College athletes, Corporate wellness groupsCaretaker retreats, Bridal parties, Students with autoimmune conditions and Tourette’s SyndromeAt the core of my approach is a belief that yoga is for everyone. My classes are welcoming and accessible, embracing students of all body types, beliefs, backgrounds, and experiences. I teach in an educational, moderate, and inclusive style—blending breath awareness, grounding techniques, and supportive props to meet students exactly where they are. Whether you're brand new to yoga or deepening your practice, I offer a safe, nurturing space for self-discovery, healing, and growth. Join me in class, a workshop, or a retreat—and experience the beauty, balance, and belonging that yoga brings.
